Access
There is parking for the disabled next to our main entrance. Pedestrian access is via a ramp from Castlegate Drive. The main doors open automatically on approach and a lift is available to access the lower floor if required.
Toilets for the use of disabled patients and visitors are situated adjacent to the main waiting area.
The surgery also has a hearing loop for the deaf and hard of hearing. Just ask a Receptionist if you require the loop.
Car Parking
The site offers parking ONLY for patients and visitors to Cockermouth Community Hospital and Health Centre. Please be aware that eventually the car park will operate via a barrier which will link to number plate recognition software. A charge will be made for parking over 1.5 hours.
Loop System
There is a Hearing Loop in reception for use by people with hearing aids and the building has been designed and decorated to make it easier for people with visual problems. We have a disabled toilet and baby change facilities.
